If your printer is failing to recognise HP 364 cartridges, there are a number of steps to follow that may resolve the issue;
1) Remove all of the cartridges and close the lid. You should see the printer indicates all cartridges are missing.
2) Install one cartridge and close the lid. The printer should check this cartridge and produce a new error message to advise that the remaining 3 cartridges are missing. Continue this process with the remaining cartridges until all cartridges are installed.
Please be aware that it will take a few seconds after closing the lid between each installation for the printer to initialise, so please be patient when waiting for the new error message.
If at any point the printer still indicates the cartridge you are installing is missing, it is likely that the chip on this particular cartridge is not registering as it should.
Try the following steps to perform an Error Memory Reset;
3) Remove all cartridges from the printer, close the lid, then disconnect the printer from the mains supply. Leave the printer unplugged for 30 minutes.
4) After 30 minutes, re-install all cartridges together and wait until the printer initialisation has finished.
