Remanufactured or Refilled cartridges are those that have been previously used.
They are recycled cartridges that have been collected by a specialist company, cleaned, refilled, and rigorously tested to ensure they meet the same high standards as they did when they were first produced.
Remanufactured cartridges are cheaper than OEM cartridges due to the fact they are using the original shell and electronic contacts and do not need to be manufactured from scratch.
Remanufactured cartridges, due to the fact they have been previously used do come with some downsides. It is not unusual for them to report as empty when first installed. This is because the ink monitor function cannot be reset once a cartridge has been used. It is usually a simple fix to override this however.
Print quality can also deteriorate the more times a cartridge has been remanufactured as the printhead is being used many more times than originally intended. There is no way to tell how many times a cartridge has been reused but we're here to help with any print quality issues.
